Why can't you have it so if we want to use our own cheque numbers we can. It would be so much better to not have to edit, just put the number in when we are putting in the hours.

Hi Diane, you can indicate the first cheque number to be printed and subsequent cheques created with your payroll run will then automatically be assigned.
I'm wondering if I'm missing something about your individual payroll process. Are you printing/writing the cheques before your payroll entry? I could see that being an issue for sure, as I may not necessarily write those cheques in the same order that they would be displayed in my list, which would make those paycheque entries in the software get numbered out of sequence.
