More flexibility in Income Statement/Balance Sheet report

I'd like to be able to see a monthly statement with each month as its own column, or the same thing for quarterly. Right now the only report views are one column for the date range selected or a 5 year report for the range. Seeing a monthly or quarterly trend is helpful.

Hi there, just a quick clarification so I understand what you're asking for.

We currently offer our Income and Expense report with the following options in each fiscal year:

So I can generate the report for each quarter or a range of dates. Were you thinking here something like a table that splits the year into 4 quarters on a single page with a Total column at the end?

The Balance Sheet is not a report that works on ranges but instead reports account balance as at a specific date so I'm not sure how your request applies to that report unless maybe:
